Gender: Male
Age: 46
Sun Sign: Capricorn

About Me:
I picked my nickname long ago, but continue to use it and embrace it. My name is Kyle and I'm special. Hopefully, through my blogs and my life you can find out why. I also hope to find out what makes you special, because I believe all people are special and have unique gifts that are meant to be shared with the world.
I had to think hard about what to come up with for a Title, but I think I came up with something fitting. First, I don't believe there is such a thing as “barking up the wrong tree”. Perhaps someone is barking in a language that cannot be readily understood, but that person's bark (voice) is meant to be heard.
More importantly, this short phrase brings together one of my longtime passions with one of my newer passions. I have had pets from as long as I can remember. My mother was always rescuing a stray dog or cat. Today, I volunteer with a dog rescue group. Our mission is to find the best possible home for unwanted, neglected, and/or abused dogs. The group I volunteer with is Wee Rescue (www.weerescue.com). Wee rescues Lhasas, Shih Tzus, and Pekingese. They do not turn down a dog because of health issues or because of age. If Wee are contacted about a dog who is in horrible condition and is ready to Cross the Rainbow's Bridge, Wee still take the dog in, give it a good bath, give it a treat, hold it, pet it, and let it know in its last minutes that it was loved. I volunteer with a wonderful group of people who all show passion for our mission and are compassionate, loving people.
My other newer passion is learning about environmental sustainability and green products. I am not only learning about how I can do this on a small front for my home, but am also learning how to do it on a larger front with my career. I manage office buildings for a living and my local affiliate of the industry's trade association has recently announced our goal of cutting energy usage by 30% over the next three years. We will begin by benchmarking our current usage using the tools provided by Energy Star. We will also be learning ways to cut this usage through BEEP seminars. I am proud to be serving on the task force to help others in our industry reach their goals. It is through shared experiences and practices that I believe the goal can be reached.
I look forward to new friendships that I will make here at Zaadz. Feel free to drop me a line or chat with me at any time.
